Two months ago, little Gaurang began suffering from a high fever. His parents, Pundalik and Pooja, took him to a local doctor, where tests revealed that he is suffering from Biliary Atresia, a condition in which the bile ducts are blocked or absent. After a failed surgery in Goa, the couple shifted to Mumbai for better treatment.

According to the doctors at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai (1 km from Vile Parle Railway Station), Gaurang urgently needs a liver transplant, which is his only hope of recovery. The estimated cost of treatment is Rs. 16,50,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).

Pundalik, who used to work as a driver, is the sole earner of a family of six. However, he hasn’t been able to go to work for the last few months because of his son’s treatment. His income was very modest, and he is already burdened with debts taken in an attempt to save his child. The couple even sold their gold jewelry, and the family’s resources have now been completely drained.
